The Role
You will take ownership of an ongoing data migration programme within a large-scale international SAP rollout. A migration strategy and project plan are already in place — your job is to pick these up, bring your own experience and judgment to bear, and drive execution across a international, multicultural environment.
You will lead a small team of around 5 people focused on data clustering and mapping, and work closely with local data owners across multiple countries to ensure data is correctly loaded before UAT begins.
This is a senior, hands-on role that requires both strategic oversight and operational grip. The right person understands that data migration is an organisational and process challenge as much as a technical one.
What You Will Do
Take over and roll out an existing migration strategy across multiple countries, starting with an initial pilot
Manage the full migration sequence: masterdata first, transactional data second — understanding why that order matters
Coordinate data mapping from legacy systems to SAP
Work with local data owners to ensure accountability and data quality at source
Prepare and coordinate cutover activities
Ensure all data is correctly and completely loaded prior to UAT
Structure and guide your team of 5, keeping the work focused and progressing
Senior level: 10+ years of relevant experience
Fluent in English; additional European languages are an asset
Available to work on-site in Belgium on a regular basis ( 2days in Turnhout per week)
Available to start quickly
Multiple end-to-end SAP data migrations, with clear personal accountability for data quality outcomes.
Experience managing the handover from legacy systems to SAP in complex, international environments.
Proven ability to coordinate with local business stakeholders who are not always natural data owners.
Background in both masterdata and transactional data migration — and a clear understanding of their interdependencies.
